The goal of every Gatti engineer is to provide the
most responsive fly rods in the world. They accomplish
this by selecting the finest materials available and
creating a fly rod that is of lighter weight, has more
power and casts smoother than any fly rod you’ve had
the pleasure to cast. It's easy to create a fly rod that is powerful and reliable if you don't consider weight as a factor. In fact, many of the "premium" fly rods available today are created that way. It's more difficult to create a fly rod that is light, powerful and reliable. Gatti considers weight to be extremely important to the rods responsive capabilities. Their combination of materials, unique tapers and a revolutionary process results in UNIFORM WALL
THICKNESS of each section. The process produce a fly rod that is precise has virtually no
spline. In addition the Gatti fly rods are lighter than other fly rods in their class. They produce a fly rod that is a pleasure to cast all day and will never leave you fatigued.
The power of a fly rod lies within its
ability to cast a fixed weight. This concept must be respected. it can not be modified, for the fly rod is
strictly bound to the fly line it is designed for. The action of a fly rod refers to the manner in which its power is distributed, the character of the rod is reflected in the way it bends while being cast. The action must match the personnel
preference, style and casting ability of the individual fly fisher. Fly rods of equal weight can be slow or fast depending on the action
